Ausschreibung der Schöller Fellowships für das Jahr 2024

The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schoeller Research Center for Business and Society at FAU Erlangen-Nuernberg aims at contributing to responsible leadership in business and society. Based on the research focus “Creating Cohesion – Designing Change – Realizing Innovation”, the Research Center supports top-level research by creating and cultivating an international network of outstanding scholars and establishing vibrant collaborations with local roots and global outreach.
The Research Center grants fellowships for outstanding scholars on an annual
basis in the following two categories:

(1) SCHOELLER SENIOR FELLOWS for internationally renowned senior scholars
(2) SCHOELLER FELLOWS for promising early career scholars (including post-doctoral researchers and outstanding Ph.D. students).

The Research Center provides funds of up to 50,000 EUR per Senior Fellow and up to 20,000 EUR per Fellow for the realization of their proposed research project.
Fellows are expected to contribute with their competence and experience to the research activities of the School of Business, Economics and Society in Nuremberg.

Call for Submissions: 11th Austrian Early Scholars Workshop in Management (AESW) in Vienna

The Eleventh Austrian Early Scholars Workshop in Management (AESW) will be held at the WU Wien. Organized by Robert Bauer (JKU Linz), Giuseppe Delmestri (WU Wien) and Renate Ortlieb (Uni Graz), the AESW invites early career scholars who intend to pursue an academic career in the fields of organization and management, human resource management, strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, international management or public management. Given faculty members’ extensive expertise in institutional theory as well as in organizational change, innovation and the grand societal challenges, the AESW provides an environment particularly conducive to research in these areas. The AESW is open to academics in early stages of their academic careers and PhD students who have already completed a substantial part of their dissertation projects.

  • Fee: There are no participation fees for accepted early scholars.

In dem durch die Hans-Böckler-Stiftung geförderten Projekt, widmen sich der Lehrstuhl für BWL, insb. Arbeit, Personal und Organisation der Heinrich-Heine-Universität und das Institut für Medizinische Soziologie des Universitätsklinikums Düsseldorf genau diesen Fragen.

Journal: Corporate Governance: An International Review Special Issue on “Chief Executive Officers With A Cause? CEO Activism And Firms’ Governance, Strategy, And Performance”

The objective of this special issue is to advance our understanding of CEO activism and its antecedents and consequences. We therefore invite papers that examine the theoretical domain and measurement of CEO activism, the factors at the individual, board, company, and industry levels that affect the substance and style of CEO activism, and the effects of CEO activism on the governance and strategies of firms and the pursuit and attainment of financial and social goals. We invite theory building and theory testing papers and we are open to the use of any theoretical lens and methodological approach.
