The Robinson College of Business seeks applications and nominations for multiple tenure track faculty positions at multiple ranks in the area of Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. At least one position will be filled at the level of Associate or Full Professor. Successful candidates will begin employment in August, 2014.

These positions offer an exceptional opportunity to qualified candidates. The Department of Managerial Sciences has many outstanding faculty colleagues with research and teaching interests that represent the different facets of Management including Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Business Analysis, and Operations Management. The Department is also affiliated with the Beebe Institute of Personnel and Employment Relations, a multidisciplinary institute dedicated to supporting research and education in the area of People at Work and to promoting outreach to the local professional community. Our faculty members are enthusiastically engaged in research and regularly publish in the top journals in their disciplines, hold leadership positions in professional associations and sit on the editorial boards of top journals. They are also engaged with colleagues in other units of the College, the University, and neighboring universities in the Atlanta area in a variety of professional activities to form an involved community of scholars The city of Atlanta provides an excellent setting for someone with interests in Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management with 13 Fortune 500 companies headquartered in the metropolitan area along with a number of regional headquarters, a large number of regional, national and global enterprises, and a vibrant entrepreneurial community. Georgia State has strong ties with the Atlanta business community, many of whom are alumni of the College.

Candidates must have an earned doctorate in a relevant field from an AACSB accredited university and a current record of scholarly publications consistent with rank, as well as a demonstrated ability or high potential for teaching within Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management. Individuals applying for a senior level position are expected to be eminent scholars with an international scholarly reputation; willingness and ability to mentor junior faculty members and PhD students are expected as well, and interest in and capability to contribute to executive programs is a plus. The College expects and strongly supports faculty research leading to publication in top tier journals. Collegiality and a demonstrated ability to develop and work with others to define and conduct research are important at all ranks. The positions include teaching at the graduate and/or undergraduate levels in the College’s academic programs. Salary, teaching loads, and other types of support are competitive with other research universities. These positions are contingent upon final budget approval by the University.

West Texas A&M University: Assistant Professor of Management

The College of Business at West Texas A&M University invites applications for two vacant positions at the rank of assistant professor of management available August 2014. West Texas A&M University is located on a 170-acre campus in Canyon, Texas with two additional support center facilities in neighboring Amarillo, Texas. University enrollment is approximately 8,000 students, which includes approximately 1,000 undergraduate and 350 graduate students in the AACSB-Accredited College of Business.

The tenure-track position includes teaching, research, and service responsibilities. Typical teaching load is three courses (two preparations) per semester with additional compensation possible for summer teaching. Salary is competitive with other AACSB business programs with a mission focus that balances both teaching and research.

Doctorate degree in management or a closely related field by August 2014 is required. The desired candidate should have a teaching field in one or more of the following: Strategic Management, Project Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Conflict Management, or Leadership. The successful candidate must demonstrate commitment to quality teaching and scholarly activity consistent with AACSB accreditation. Candidates should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, initiative, and the ability to work in a student-centered environment. Teaching responsibilities support both the undergraduate and graduate business programs.

A complete application must include a curriculum vita listing three references. Transcripts of all academic work are required for finalists and requested of applicants. Interviews with select applicants will be conducted at the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Meeting in Orlando in August 2013. Marquette University in Milwaukee: Tenure-Track Position in Organizational Behavior

Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin invites applications for a tenure-track position in Organizational Behavior starting in Fall 2014. Initial interviews will be conducted during the Academy of Management meetings in Orlando this August.

Candidates must have earned, or expect to complete, a Ph.D. or D.B.A. degree in an OB-related field by August 2014. Courses to be taught will be Introductory OB as well as electives in one’s preferred area. Research interests are open. A demonstrated record or strong potential for research and highly competent teaching are required of successful applicants. Industrial or corporate experience is desirable. The successful candidate will be professionally active and contribute to the mission of the College of Business Administration, and Marquette University.

The Department of Management and Marketing has two full-time tenure track faculty positions (Associate/Assistant Professor of Management) to be filled for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Qualifications: An earned doctorate degree in the management field from an AACSB-accredited university, with teaching experience and scholarly activities, evidenced by an impeccable research stream and publications in refereed journals. Teaching responsibilities at the undergraduate and graduate levels and potential for teaching excellence in an urban institution are important. Scholarly research as well as professional and community service is expected.

Responsibilities: Teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels, student advisement, research, services activities, committee assignments, scholarly activities, and professional and community service.

The position is available for the Fall 2013 semester. Applications will be received until position is filled. Salary is very competitive along the ranges identified in the latest AACSB salary survey.
