The University of Cologne, Seminar of Personnel Economics and Human Resource Management (Prof. Dr. Dirk Sliwka), is looking for a
PhD-student (research and teaching position)
with a weekly working time of 29.87 hours (3/4 TV-L 13)
starting from March 1st, 2012 or later. The Seminar of Personnel Economics and Human Resource Management mainly focus on quantitative personnel management and „behavioural economics“ and distinguish ourselves through the connection of rigorous academic research combined with a focus on the analysis of personnel management instruments in practice. In particular, economic methods such as empirical analyses based on company data sets, microeconomic analyses and laboratory experiments based on behavioural economic approaches are applied. Writing a (cumulative) dissertation will be an essential part of the activities. A part of the working time will also be dedicated to teaching.
