Special Issue:

“Integrating ethics into research on business administration and management”

It can be stated that the development of business administration and management over the past decades is a story of success, not only due to the rising numbers of students enrolled for the related courses but also due to the increasing internationalisation of this discipline. Business studies are now among the most popular choices at colleges and universities. Their alumni – working as managers in important positions – can have an important impact on their economic environments.

But there is a wave of criticism as well, mainly referring to the education, the contents and the knowledge transfer, but also the competences, values and personalities of the alumni of business administration and management studies. Indeed, business ethics are hardly integrated in both research and education on business administration and management. This very lack of research on business ethics has recently been observed by several researchers in the field of business administration and management.

Submissions regarding the subject of “Integrating ethical issues into the research on business administration and management” can include theoretical frameworks as well as empirical research. Possible topics are:

Combination of research on business administration and business ethics

– Ethics within business administration and management research

– Success criteria for the integration of ethics into business administration research

– Business ethics within an interdisciplinary context

The deadline for submissions is July 15, 2011.
