Job Description:

The Department of Business Economics at the UIB invites applications for faculty positions at the level of tenure track Assistant Professor in the area of Business Economics. The position involves both research and teaching. Research in any area pertaining to the field of business economics is welcome, whether from an economics perspective (industrial organization, organizational economics, personnel economics, etc.) or from a management perspective (human resources, strategic management, etc.). Candidates should hold a PhD (or be close to completion). We would prefer candidates who have already obtained any of the Spanish officials credentials for faculty, either for “Ayudante Doctor” or “Contratado Doctor”. In case of no such credentials, candidates would be required to obtain them in the future. Our Department is growing. In the last years, young researchers coming from Spanish and European prestigious PhD programs have joined our faculty. We continue looking for applicants who demonstrate a strong potential for research excellence and high quality teaching. The job will involve research aimed to be published in leading journals, and teaching in our graduate and postgraduate programs. Since teaching is in Catalan or Spanish, knowledge of at least one of these two languages is required. Beginning: October 2009.
