Course description:
In this PhD course, participants read and discuss new empirical studies in the area of labor economics. All participants should present and discuss 1-2 new papers and actively participate in the discussions of the studies. Based on these papers, ideas and strategies for students’ own research are discussed and developed. Empirical studies recently published or forthcoming in the American Economic Review, Quarterly Journal of Economics, Journal of Political Economy, Review of Economic Studies, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, American Economic Journal: Economic Policy, Review of Economics and Statistics, Economic Journal, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Human Resources are discussed.
