Prof. Dr. Tilman Brück will give a talk about “The effect of conflict exposure on students’ achievement: evidence from the Second Intifada”.
Tilman Brück is Professor of Development Economics at Humboldt-University of Berlin, Head of the Department of Development and Security at DIW Berlin – German Institute for Economic Research and a member of the faculty of the Berlin Graduate School of Social Sciences. His research interests include the economics of household behaviour and well-being in conflict and post-conflict economies and the economics of terrorism and insecurity. He has worked on many developing and middle income countries including Angola, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Syria, Tanzania, Uganda and Ukraine.
