The ‘Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe’ (SHARE) offers three full time positions. SHARE is the largest social science panel study in Europe. It is the first study that combines extensive cross-national information on socio-economic status, health, and family relationships of Europe’s elder population. In three waves since 2004, information was collected on some 45,000 individuals aged 50 and older in 15 countries, including retrospective life histories. Currently, wave 4 is starting in 20 countries. In SHARE Germany about 6000 respondents will be interviewed starting January 2011, with innovative approaches to health measurement and minimization of non-response.
